LEED

Our company currently does not have a LEED certified professional to be able to apply for LEED certifications for homes and small office buldings. We expect to have a certified professional on staff by March 2008.

At this point, our company is well positioned to provide consulting services to any builder or renovator, planning to seek Energy Star or LEED certifications. From the design stage, through construction process and all the way to commissioning and post-occupancy evaluations, we can help your project to reach LEED certification.

ENERGY STAR

We expect to be able to provide full Energy Rater Services, including Energy Star certifications by March of 2008. At that stage, our HERS certified Energy Raters will be able to help builders achieve Energy Star certification.

Energy Star certification will help any builder to differentiate their buildings from standard built homes with lower expected energy consumption. As prices for energy rise, so does the value of any energy efficiency measure!

GENERAL NOTES

From the financial perspective, a building owner, whether it is a house, or an office building, cannot afford NOT to build green, or at least energy efficient building. Commercial buildings with lower expected operational costs will command premium pricing. They will prove their advantages over and over again as energy prices soar.

US Green Building Council estimates that among their LEED certified buildings, the additional cost averaged at 1-2% more. Many buildings have been built within the original budget constraints. Operational costs of green buildings are easily 10-30% lower, some reaching more than 50% savings on utility costs.
