American Fidelity Assurance Company is preparing to host a "Green Fair" in midtown Oklahoma City to help educate our employees on how to become more "green" at work and home. We are inviting local businesses and organizations that focus on green products and sustainable practices to display and provide materials about them.
April 17. Picnic for the Planet 3-6 p.m., Douglas Park, Oklahoma City
Planned and organized as a low-impact, low-carbon event with the goal of a very small carbon footprint, building community, supporting local businesses, farmers and ranchers, and honoring Earth Day, Picnic for the Planet is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to bring his or her own picnic and join in low-carbon fun.
When: Sat., April 17, 3 - 6 p.m.; rain date, Sun., April 18, 3 - 6 p.m.
Where: Douglas Park, Oklahoma City. This large city park is close to Centennial Expressway, and has a playground, pavilion, gazebo, baseball field and plenty of parking.

April 24. Nichols Hills, The Sustainable Living Eco Expo 11AM - 6PM.
Nichols Hills of Oklahoma City celebrates Earthday Birthday April 22-24, 2010. A three day event is planned to educate homeowners and business owners of Nichols Hills area on how bring energy efficiency, building health and other green ideas into buildings and lives of people in a sensible and sustainable way.
